Jacob was announced as a finalist in the Creative HEAD Magazine It List Awards 2025, shortlisted in the highly respected One to Watch category.
The awards ceremony took place on Monday 13th October 2025 at Drumsheds, London, celebrating the most creative and emerging talent within the UK hair industry.
Although the title went to another stylist on the night, Jacob’s nomination has place him among an exceptional group of leading industry talent. Being recognised by Creative HEAD Magazine as One to Watch is a significant industry accolade, reflecting his creativity, technical excellence and rapidly growing presence within the industry.

Lucy’s journey began in 2023 when she auditioned for the prestigious Global Creative Awards mentorship programme. After earning her place, she trained alongside industry leaders, developing her creative vision and skills. In 2024, entries from across the country had been submitted, marking the result of months of creativity, dedication, and hard work.
In June 2024, the top five finalists were announced to compete in the global finals the following month. Although Lucy was not selected as a finalist, her creativity, professionalism, and commitment made a lasting impression within the industry.

Goldwell Celebration of Color 2026
A celebration of creativity, artistry & our industry
In July 2026, our team had the pleasure of attending Goldwell Celebration of Color, held at the beautiful Hurlingham Club in Putney, London.
Set against an incredible hot and sunny summer day, it was a fantastic opportunity for our team to step away from the salon and spend the day surrounded by creativity, education and some of the most inspiring talent within the hairdressing industry.
The event brought together hairdressers, artists and industry professionals for a full day of education, creative showcases, inspirational talks and live artistry. We heard from an incredible line-up of industry professionals, including Casey Coleman, Lydia Wolfe, Jack Mead from Jack & The Wolf, Pete Burkill, Emma Fowler, Anthony Grant, the Oribe UK Education Team and motivational speaker Louis Byrne.
Alongside the talks and education, the day was filled with creative presentations from the Goldwell Art Team 2026, giving us the opportunity to see the incredible work being produced by some of the industry’s emerging and established creative talent.
Supporting Lucy & Jacob
For our team, one of the most exciting parts of the day was being there to support Lucy and Jacob, who were selected for the Goldwell Art Team 2026, powered by Mark Leeson. The day began with Mark Leeson formally introducing the members of the 2026 Art Team to the Celebration of Color audience. Each artist shared a little about their journey within the hairdressing industry, as well as their experiences of being part of the Art Team and the opportunities it had given them throughout the year.
The Art Team was then divided into four pairs, with each duo creating and presenting their own individual look. Each pair took to the stage to talk through their inspiration, creative process and colour choices, giving the audience an insight into the ideas and artistry behind their finished work.
Lucy and Jacob presented their look, “Luna Dusk”. It was a fantastic opportunity to see the work they had been developing as part of the Art Team brought to life on stage. Their presentation allowed them to share the creative thinking behind their look and showcase the skill, colour and artistry that went into creating it.

Following the four presentations, the models took to the runway for a closer catwalk, coming off the main stage and into the audience. This gave everyone the chance to see the intricate details of each look up close and appreciate the creativity from a different perspective.
The day finished with a spectacular final showcase, bringing together the artists and their models for one last walk down the main runway. And for us, there was a particularly special moment. Lucy and Jacob’s model was the final look to come down the runway, finishing the showcase with a real impact. It was an incredible moment to watch from the audience, and the response to their look was fantastic. Seeing their work take centre stage in front of such a large audience was a hugely proud moment for everyone at ScullyScully.

A Day We're Incredibly Proud To Be Part Of
Goldwell Celebration of Color 2026 was much more than just a day out of the salon. It was an opportunity to learn, be inspired, celebrate creativity and see the incredible possibilities within our industry. From the inspiring education and industry talks to the incredible artistry showcased throughout the day, we came away feeling motivated and full of new ideas. Most importantly, we were incredibly proud to have been there to support Lucy and Jacob as they took their place on the stage as part of the Goldwell Art Team 2026. It was a fantastic day, a very proud moment for our salon, and an experience we will remember for a long time.

Jacob earned his place on the prestigious Goldwell Global Creative Awards Art Team through his success in last year’s competition, joining a group of talented stylists who all placed in the finals. Under the mentorship of multi- award-winning hairdresser Mark Leeson, Jacob has been guided towards future competition success, learning from one of the industry’s very best.
Over six months, Jacob developed the skills to create stunning collections, as well as mastering techniques for shows and photo shoots – skills that will shape his career for years to come. His work featured in the striking Gothic Ballerina collection, showcased in HJ Magazine and on stage at Goldwell’s Celebration of Color, marking another milestone in his creative journey.
This experience has opened Jacob’s mind to new ways of expressing creativity, inspiring him to push boundaries and elevate his artistry to the next level. Click here to see press features
Goldwell Celebration of Color 2025
Goldwell’s UK Celebration of Colour Summer Party once again brought together the very best in the hair industry for an unforgettable evening of creativity, inspiration, and celebration. This year, Jacob’s artistry was featured as part of the Global Creative Awards Art Team with the spectacular Gothic Ballerina collection, directed by renowned hairdresser Mark Leeson. His dramatic, elegant look lit up the main stage, captivating the audience with its precision and style.
On display downstairs was Jacob’s prêt-à-porter look for Celebration of Colour: Rebel Fusion, directed by Nicolas James. Drawing inspiration from surrealist 20th-century art, rebel fusion colour palettes, punk-inspired graffiti, and the sharp edge of the asymmetric bob, the piece made a fearless, fashion-forward statement that turned heads all evening.

Goldwell Celebration of Color 2024
Goldwell’s UK Celebration of Color Summer Party 2024 brought together some of the finest talent in the industry for an evening of creativity and celebration. The prestigious event featured a variety of showcases, including a separate podium presentation where Jacob demonstrated live hair-cutting techniques to an audience. He later presented his model on the main stage in front of 800 attendees. The evening was made even more special when Jacob received the Gold Creative Haircutter of the Year 2024 award, presented by Jamie Laing. It was a fantastic occasion, with the salon team coming together to support Jacob and celebrate his achievement while enjoying the night’s festivities.
